Job Title: Video Editor Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that aligns with the vision of the project and meets the highest standards of quality. The Video Editor will work collaboratively with our production team to ensure all aspects of editing, post-production, and final delivery are executed seamlessly. Schedule: 9 am to 5 pm EST (Monday to Friday) Responsibilities: Editing and Assembling Footage: Reviewing raw footage and selecting the best shots based on the project requirements. Assembling footage into a coherent, visually appealing sequence. Post-Production: Adding music, sound effects, graphics, and other elements to enhance the overall quality of the video. Applying special effects or other enhancements as needed. Collaboration: Working closely with producers, directors, and other team members to understand project goals and objectives. Incorporating feedback from team members and clients to refine the final product. Storytelling: Contributing to the creative storytelling process by suggesting edits and improvements to enhance the narrative. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrating expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and exporting procedures. Quality Control: Ensuring the final video meets the highest standards of quality in terms of visual and auditory elements. Problem Solving: Addressing technical challenges or issues with footage and finding effective solutions. Time Management: Working efficiently to meet project deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing various editing styles and projects. Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent). Understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression. Strong storytelling and creative skills.
