Description:
Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Back End/API Developer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role demands a deep understanding of modern Back End technologies, best practices in responsive design, and a passion for creating user-friendly web interfaces. Rate paid in PHP: PHP 450 - PHP 600 per hour ($9 - $12 USD per hour)Schedule: 7am to 3pm West Africa Time or 6am to 2pm West Africa Time Responsibilities Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging Troubleshoot and debug applications Design robust APIs to support mobile and desktop clients Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud Optimize web applications for performance and scalability Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met, and allow for regression testing Implementation of security and data protection. Requirements and skills 5 years of experience in back-end/API development with a focus on APIs Proven work experience as a Back-end developer Experience in designing RESTful APIs In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment) Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python Working knowledge of CMS framework Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, and CSS) Excellent analytical and time management skills Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field Personal Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to tackle challenges. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Detail-oriented with an ability to see the bigger picture. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Passion for delivering a great user experience.
