Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Financial Analyst to join our Accounting & Finance team. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, organized, and professional, with a strong desire to grow in their role. As a Financial Analyst, you will not only play a key role in maintaining financial integrity but also be a representative of our brand's commitment to top-tier quality and craftsmanship. Reporting to the Controller, you will perform various financial tasks to ensure the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Record Keeping and Reconciliation: Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions. Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other accounts. 2. Financial Compliance: Maintain financial procedures and confirm compliance with GAAP. 3. Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the financial data. 4. Chart of Accounts: Maintain the Chart of Accounts. 5. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Review the accounts payable process, including reviewing and processing invoices, resolving vendor inquiries, and preparing payments. Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as issuing invoices, monitoring collections, and reconciling customer accounts. 6. Payroll: Assist with payroll processing and ensure the accurate recording of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions. Collaborate with the HR department to address any payroll-related inquiries. 7. Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Verify receipts, allocate expenses to appropriate accounts, and reconcile corporate credit card statements. 8. Month-End Close: Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. 9. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Recommend and implement best practices to optimize financial operations. 10. Support to Controller: Assist the Controller as needed and respond to financial information requests from management. 11. Confidentiality: Protect the organization's value by keeping financial information confidential. 12. Policy Adherence: Comply with company policies and procedures. 13. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: To excel in this role, you will need to be a self-driven, organized, multi-tasker with effective communication skills. The following qualifications are required: Required: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or a similar field preferred. CPA's and/or CMA's preferred. Highly organized, attention to detail, and ability to communicate professionally Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Cost accounting knowledge required Strong knowledge of GAAP Payroll experience preferred AR and AP experience required Experience with multiple subsidiaries/intercompany required Experience in solar/construction is highly preferred Software Experience Required: NetSuite knowledge (strongly preferred).
