Position Overview: With a growing client base, Thrive Networks is continuing to build out our security team. We are looking to hire a Security Engineer to take a lead role in the deployment of our Endpoint Detection and Response service offerings, 24/7 Security monitoring, and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for information security with a solid understanding of networking concepts and how security software works. Primary Responsibilities: Deploy SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management software as part of rolling out Security Services. Assist with alarm tuning and configuration tasks necessary for Security Service deployments for new and existing customers. Assist other teams with troubleshooting security software. Ensure all security software is deployed following industry best practices. Implementation of API security measures, ensuring secure data transmission and compliance with industry-standard API security protocols. Work closing with project managers to better enhance the onboarding experience with for our clients. Join any Internal Kickoff or External Kickoff calls as needed. Creation and ongoing upkeep of materials documenting our security processes, procedures, and technologies. Collaborate with clients to understand their reporting needs and requirements and customize reports and dashboards accordingly. Assist with analyzing vulnerability scans and determining remediation steps. Qualifications: Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems, application layer protocols, and security best practices. Solid understanding of how security software works including SIEM, Vulnerability scanning, and EDR. Understanding cybersecurity threats and incident response standards and procedures. Ability to communicate security information to non-technical people. Has a passion for Cyber Security. Demonstrates comprehension of good security practices Has worked with ServiceNow. Required Skills: Ability to analyze a large amount of data from various sources and use this information to solve complex problems and make good decisions. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate within the team and other stakeholders. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Solid understanding of networking & security software Is familiar with or has worked with vulnerability discovery and analysis. Operating System Internals Familiarity with TCP/IP network protocols, application layer protocols (e.g., HTTP, SMTP, DNS, etc.). Preferred Skills: Knowledge of common Windows and Linux/Unix system calls and APIs Understand Anti-Virus Knowledge of programming languages. Knowledge of internal file structures for file formats commonly associated with malware (e.g., OLE, RTF, PDF, EXE, etc.) This is a full-time position in our Clark office in the Philippines. All applicants should be living in, or be willing to relocate to, that area and are expected to work out of the office on a daily basis.Powered by JazzHR
