Position Overview A General Accountant with excellent communication skills to join our accounting service team. This position must have an advanced understanding of Account Receivables, Account Payables, bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices. This position should have an aptitude for numbers. They must have a desire to help clients with their accounting processes, to spark progress within the organizations we serve. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Prepare AR/AP aging. Preparing journal entry as required for month-end closing. Perform bank reconciliation. Prepare and complete sales tax filings. Perform reconciliations of GL accounts. Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other ad hoc report as per clients. Other tasks as assigned by clients/ team leads/ managers. Collaboration and Communication Ensure the service is delivered in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining good relationship with the client. Sustain a consulting mindset when working with clients, enjoy solving complex problems and working collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. Ability to analyze company procedures to make improvement, optimization and contributing recommendation regarding automation of the process. Financial Record Maintenance Record and reconcile financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain and update general ledger accounts. Prepare and post journal entries. Maintain accuracy and completeness of the Accounting books and financial transactions. Financial Reporting Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate various financial reports to support decision-making processes. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management. Account Reconciliation Perform regular bank reconciliations. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies. Financial Analysis Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions. Provide recommendations based on analysis results. Accounts Receivable and Payable Manage and oversee the accounts receivable and payable processes. Ensure timely collection of receivables and accurate processing of payables. Compliance Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings. Budgeting and Forecasting Support the budgeting and forecasting processes. Work closely with department heads to gather financial information for budget analysis. Audit Support Assist in internal and external audit processes. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries. Process Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations. Collaborate with team members to implement best practices General Accounting Perform general ledger entries and maintain the chart of accounts. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE? Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Accounting/Auditing/Finance or equivalent. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a must. Great command of English (especially written and verbal communication) Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the same role or equivalent from a BPO or shared-service environment catering to the Financial or Banking Industry.
