DIRECTLY REPORTS TO: Head of Growth What is a Category Marketing Manager? The Category Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies specifically focused on a particular category of products within the Sprout Ecosystem inclusive of 1st party Sprout and 3rd party partner products. Their primary goal is to own and drive the Go to Market (GTM) plans, in order to achieve revenue and pipeline goals for their assigned category. This role involves a combination of strategic planning, orchestration of all activities towards completion of category and product GTMs, collaboration with cross-functional teams involved (Product, Alliance Management, Product Operations, Marketing Communications, Sales/Upsell and Lead Development), guidance and execution of marketing campaigns to achieve business objectives, and provision of product enablement assets to lead development and sales teams. The Category Marketing Manager will also be responsible and incented for achievement of assigned category revenue and pipeline goals. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Market Analysis for Total Category: Main Competencies & Output: Understanding Market and Industry trends relating to their Product Category Understanding data sources, data utilization, key data points and indicators for the industries and their markets Analysis of available data and trends Identifying market and industry opportunities as they relate to Sprout, it’s locales (PH + TH), and their economic conditions Managerial Competencies & Output: Providing coaching, mentorship, or training to direct reports pertaining to identifying key data points and data sources for market research activities Ensuring cohesive planning and organization of data utilization for products within their product category Go-to-Market Strategy for Total Category Main Competencies & Output: Ideate, Develop, and Cascade multiple brand strategies within the product category, ensuring harmony amongst brands Monitor development and execution of Go-to-Market cohesive plans, strategies and activations for the products within their product category. Managerial Competencies & Output: Ensure launch, execution, tracking and remarketing for category products are handled by the Product Marketing Team Provide GTM strategic training, feedback, and learning opportunities for the direct reports handling products and projects within their respective product categories Brand Management for Total Category Main Competencies & Output: Ensure the execution of campaigns, activations, efforts, and projects required by the products within their respective product categories Ensure the sustained and organic development of the brands within their product categories; ensuring that these fall in line with overall category strategy identified Managerial Competencies & Output: Provide Brand Management training, and learning opportunities for the direct reports handling products and projects within their respective product categories Sales Enablement and Channel Strategy for Total Category Main Competencies & Output: Identify optimal channel mix and channel strategy necessary for overall category as well as per product Ensure PMM is able to execute the correct channel mix and strategy necessary Coordinate with customer facing teams (Sales, Upsell, LDU) on support needed for various elements of their respective targets Supporting customer facing teams to push for target achievement through enablement projects or programs Managerial Competencies & Output: Provide training for development of Share and cascade industry best practice for Sales Enablement methods Drive innovation and improvement of Sales Enablement methods Revenue and Campaign Performance Main Competencies & Output: Ensure project teams are able to execute identified strategies to achieve the target Identify support needed and strategy augmentation required to adjust efforts for target achievement Cross Functional Execution of Strategies for Total Category Main Competencies & Output: Push cross functional project team to execute and implement programs, projects, and efforts needed by product categories Develop efforts or processes with other departments that complete the feedback loop Ensure PRMKT Team regularly align across teams to gather necessary/needed insights and feedback needed Managerial Competencies & Output: Provide guidance on cross team collaboration and coordination for multiple projects or programs needed by their product categories Coach and model best practice or effective methodologies QUALIFICATIONS | COMPETENCIES: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, equivalent. Masters degree ideal but not required. At least 8 years solid track record in both product specialist, product manager, or brand marketing. Experience in various marketing disciplines including segment marketing, integrated marketing communications, digital and content marketing. Experience in the B2B software/SaaS space, and/or the Information Technology industry is a requirement. Proven track record in GTM strategy formulation, experience in launching and growing products or groups of related products, and helping CEOs or CPOs in planning, defining and launching successful products and product portfolios. Excellent communication, cross-collaboration and interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic; able to perform and complete tasks according to deadlines and company procedures, and policies. Excellent cross-group collaboration and consensus-building skills. Superior analytical skills in synthesizing complex information and data A results-driven and empathetic leader and mentor Ability to display composure in the face of workload and pressure Must be willing to be located in NCR, Philippines; amenable to the company’s hybrid work setup.
