Could you be the full-time Senior Buyer (Direct Procurement) in Ortigas, Philippines we’re looking for? Your future role: To lead the Purchasing activity for a family of products or suppliers in order to obtain a competitive advantage for the local business unit. To provide supply solutions for difficult sourcing issues. To be responsible for identifying potential savings and implementing continuous cost reduction initiatives. To be responsible for ensuring the importance of supplier selection and researching and evaluating possible new suppliers in order to provide supply solutions for difficult local sourcing issues not covered by global agreements. Manage relationship with suppliers in line with Procurement policies and procedures (Supplier selection/approval/competitiveness/delivery performance). To be responsible for establishing and monitoring supplier performance and conducting Key Supplier Development processes. To be responsible for implementing continual improvement processes and monitors. To be responsible for managing and maintaining commercial relationships with suppliers and conducting complex negotiation on contractual conditions of Purchase. This will include organizing bids and comparing and judging supplier offers relative to new and existing customer requests. To resolve delivery problems that are escalated by the buyers and to continually monitor supplier performance All about you (Qualifications): Bachelor's / master's degree. Minimum 5+ year's experience in commodity sourcing and supplier management in a service or engineering environment. MNCs background. Good experience in direct Procurement (I ndustrial products ). Knowledge of negotiation/relationship management/motivational skills/finance required. Experience in project procurement management as an advantage. Able to manage multiple priorities autonomously and respect deadlines. Strong negotiation skills. Strong communication skills, Team spirit and presentation skills Analytical and problem- solving skills. Ability to challenge. Results oriented. Rigorous and structured. International mindset. Fluent in English and Tagalog is a plus . Good knowledge of systems, SAP experience an advantage.
