The Role: Kitsch is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Product and Packaging Development Specialist to become an integral part of our team. The role is expected to work closely with our team of product development, production, purchasing, marketing, sales and vendors to ensure products and packaging are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet target audience needs. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire product development process, ensuring products meet quality, regulatory standards, and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Analyze product briefs provided by the management team, conducting in-depth research to gather relevant data that clarifies specifications and enhances communication with factories. Collaborate with technical designers to create detailed Technical Packs (TPs), ensuring they are clear, accurate, and aligned with our vision. Clearly communicate product details to factories, providing them with the necessary TPs and deadlines to facilitate efficient production. Establish appropriate due dates for each stage of development and ensure timely delivery of 3D drawings and prototypes for management approval. Own and manage the product and packaging development calendar, coordinating timelines across all categories to ensure smooth project flow and timely launches. Serve as the go-to expert for product and packaging review, ensuring all samples meet aesthetic standards, color accuracy, and functional requirements. Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively address any issues with the management team to keep projects on track. Manage the product and packaging development budget, ensuring all expenditures remain within financial targets and align with overall pricing strategies. Engage with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing for products and packaging materials, collaborating with management to refine negotiation strategies. Maintain organized internal documentation, including updates to Dropbox files, proofreading linesheets, and managing care label layouts. Ensure all tasks and subtasks in Asana are assigned appropriately with clear due dates, streamlining project workflows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 1-3 years of professional, extensive experience in product or packaging development. Textile or accessories product development experience preferred. Fast learner, enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Receptiveness to feedback and being able to meet deadlines.
