Compliance Oversight · Overseeing the tax compliance process for the entire company, including subsidiaries and other offices· Ensuring all tax filings and payments are submitted accurately and on time (national and local)· Developing and implementing internal controls to minimize tax risks· Preparing the organization for tax audits and interacting with auditors Tax Expertise · Staying updated on tax law changes and their impact on the company· Analyzing tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities· Collaborating with tax advisors and accountants Leadership and Management · Leading a team of tax professionals, which may include senior associates and analysts· Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff Additional Responsibilities · Preparing financial statements relevant to tax calculations· Managing other areas of compliance, such as sales tax or unclaimed property· Researching and applying for tax benefits or exemptions Qualifications: Work Experience : Typically, 5-7 years of experience in tax, accounting, or compliance roles. Must be a bachelor’s degree in accounting Certified Public Accountant (CPA) : Highly preferred or required Management Experience : Experience managing a team or leading projects.
