Duties and Responsibilities Demand Planning and Forecasting Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for all product lines using historical data, market trends, and sales input. Utilize statistical tools, software, and cutting-edge research in demand planning to evaluate forecast models and explore new methodologies for predicting future demand accurately. Regularly review and adjust forecasts based on market dynamics, historical data, and stakeholder input. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Lead the S&OP process to align demand with supply and support business objectives. Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings with cross-functional teams to review demand plans and address any discrepancies. Communicate demand forecasts and inventory status to relevant stakeholders regularly. Inventory Management Collaborate with Warehouse teams to monitor and optimize inventory levels across all warehouses to ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete stock. Implement inventory control processes and best practices and strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs. Production Planning Oversight Oversee production planning to align with demand forecasts. Act as a backup for production planning activities as needed. Collaborate closely with supply chain and procurement teams to align forecasts with production capabilities and mitigate supply chain risks. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvements in demand planning and inventory management. Introduce best practices and leverage emerging technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency in demand planning processes. Updated with industry trends and advancements in demand planning methodologies. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management preferably consumer goods or retail industry Experience with S&OP processes and inventory management Proficiency in demand planning software and ERP systems. In-depth knowledge and proficiency of Advanced Planning Systems (SAP, Netsuite, etc) is expected Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Hands-on experience with MRP, purchasing, and production planning systems.
