Position: Amazon Product Sourcing Assistant We are looking for a diligent and resourceful Product Sourcing Assistant to support our client's business. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and sourcing products that meet Amazon's quality standards and business needs. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for market trends, strong analytical skills, and the ability to foster relationships with suppliers. Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 9 am - 5 pm ; Friday: 9am - 1pm EST Key Responsibilities : Main Tasks: Product sourcing and knowledge with how Amazon works is a must. Product Sourcing : Research and identify potential products for various categories. Evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, reliability, and alignment with Amazon's values. Maintain an updated database of potential and existing products/suppliers. Product Evaluation : Analyze product specifications, samples, and quality reports to ensure compliance with Amazon’s standards. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to assess product quality and performance. Provide recommendations for product selection and improvement. Negotiation and Procurement : Assist in negotiating terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers. Support the procurement team in preparing and managing purchase orders. Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery. Market Analysis : Monitor market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences. Provide insights on emerging trends and opportunities in product sourcing. Conduct price comparisons and cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with the product development, marketing, and logistics teams to align sourcing activities with business goals. Communicate product updates and changes to relevant stakeholders. Support the resolution of supply chain issues, including product shortages or quality concerns. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sourcing activities, supplier information, and product details. Generate reports and provide regular updates on sourcing progress, costs, and performance metrics. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Qualifications : Experience : Previous experience in product sourcing on Amazon is preferred. Knowledgeable with how Amazon works and its operations. Experience with global sourcing and supplier management is a plus. Skills : Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement software. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
