Registered Nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and offer emotional support to patients and their family members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Patient Care: Assess patients' health problems and needs. Develop and implement nursing care plans. Administer nursing care to patients. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient's conditions. 2. Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Maintain accurate medication records. 3. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-treatment care. Provide instructions for home care, diet, exercise, and medication adherence. Conduct public health education on topics like disease prevention and health maintenance. 4. Medical Equipment Use: Operate medical equipment and perform diagnostic tests. Assist with medical procedures and surgeries. Ensure equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. 5. Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and revise treatment plans. Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings. Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers. 6. Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Document patients’ medical histories and symptoms. Ensure patient records are up to date and comply with regulatory standards. 7. Health Promotion: Promote healthy lifestyles by educating patients on preventative measures and wellness practices. Support community health initiatives and screenings. 8. Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times. Assist patients in managing stress and coping with illness. 9. Safety and Compliance: Follow established protocols for infection control and safety. Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits. 10. Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and train nursing assistants and other support staff. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior nursing staff and students. Take on leadership roles in patient care teams and special projects. Note: The Nurse Managers will determine the specific area of assignment during recruitment and selection, and proper orientation and training will be provided before deployment. OTHER DUTIES Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with hospital quality programs (e.g. Safecare, DOH, etc.) requirements. Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc. Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage, and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a Recognized Institution. Licenses/Certifications Required; if any: Current PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) license is an advantage Minimum Experience Required: At least a 1-year experience as a Staff Nurse is an advantage but not required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Excellent writing skills Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in computer skills (MS-word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of governmental and other regulatory standards, requirements, and guidelines related to quality improvement/Infection Control Powered by JazzHR
