The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization operates within legal and regulatory guidelines, industry quality and standards, and internal policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Developing Quality Management Systems (QMS): Establish, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the organization's operations and ensure compliance with them. Conducting Audits and Assessments: Plan and conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the organization's adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Investigating Quality Issues: Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and other quality issues to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Risk Management: Identify potential quality issues before they become significant problems and provide proactive approach that minimizes the risk of failures and associated costs.. Implementing Corrective Actions: Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent their recurrence. Providing Training: Develop and deliver training programs on quality management principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance-related topics to employees at all levels of the organization. Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement quality and compliance initiatives, drive continuous improvement efforts, and resolve quality-related issues. Preparing Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality management systems, regulatory compliance, audits, and corrective actions. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit regulatory reports and communicate quality and compliance-related issues to senior management, regulatory agencies, external auditors, and other stakeholders as required. Monitoring Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to quality management and compliance, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance organizational effectiveness. Liaising with External Stakeholders: Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies, external auditors, suppliers, and other stakeholders on quality and compliance matters. Driving Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings related to quality management and compliance, and lead initiatives to implement them. OTHER DUTIES Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with hospital quality programs (e.g. Safecare, DOH, etc.) requirements. Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc. Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage, and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing/Clinical Medicine from a Recognized Institution. Licenses/Certifications Required; if any: Current PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) license is an advantage Minimum Experience Required: At least 6 years of post-education experience. Experience in coordination of Hospital Infection Control Implementation. Experience in quality management certification or accreditation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent writing skills Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficient in computer skills (MS-word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of governmental and other regulatory standards, requirements, and guidelines related to quality improvement/Infection Control Powered by JazzHR
