Position: Accountant Location: Manila Business Unit: Finance & Accounting Department: Accounting Reports to: Lead, Accounting Position Summary Responsible for preparing account and bank reconciliations, employee advance account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets, VAT and GST, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, pre-payment amortization/accruals, balance sheet reconciliation, coding and preparing journal entries and other accounting duties as required. Major Responsibilities Handle day-to-day operational responsibilities such as but not limited to data analysis, recording, reconciliation, periodic close, reporting, and taxation. Update process manual and documentations. Serve as point of contact for the assigned process(es)/entities. Actively participate on process review and improvement projects. Ensure tasks and deliverables are in accordance with the key service metrics. Assist in providing audit requirements. Ensure compliance with all the company’s policies and internal controls. Perform other ad-hoc financial analyses and administrative activities that may be assigned by the Lead Accounting from time to time. Requirements, Knowledge, Skills Graduate of B.S in Accountancy, or relevant business course. At least 1-3 years of combined general accounting background, 1 year exposure to a BPO/shared service environment is preferred. Proficient in MS Office applications and any accounting system. Requires minimal to moderate supervision. Good interpersonal skills – ability to communicate to all levels in the organization and across functions. Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities at a time with high degree of accuracy. #LI-hybridPowered by JazzHR
