Position Overview RecruitGo is in search of a Senior Accounting Supervisor who will be working with our client based in Australia. Our client is a leading Accounting and Business Advisory Firm. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the effective completion of Client Accounting and Taxation requirements. Aside from your established skills and expertise, we are also looking for someone who is committed to working with clients, colleagues, and systems in an organized manner and who constantly pursues ways to improve client care. Role Purpose The Senior Supervisor assists with the effective completion of Client Accounting and Taxation requirements - whilst commencing Mentoring other client's PH team Members in relation to Division: Client Work. Furthermore - provision of assistance with ongoing management of Division Director Billing and Workflow Allocation. Additionally - adhering to the client's Client Service Culture - with a dedication to improving Client and Staff interaction - overall Service Level - know and embrace the Firm’s commitment to Client and Staff Care - by using interactions as an opportunity to identify needs and proactive with Value Add. Responsibilities: Work cohesively with AUS and PH team: Practice Manager and/or Division Director to ensure Individual Workflow is effectively managed Aims to achieve Workflow Priorities as identified in Division: Workflow Meeting [Weekly] Communicates progress with Individual Workflow and identifies issues with Client Work Completion Preparation of Income Tax returns for all Entity Types - including Individuals Partnerships Trusts and Companies Preparation of Business and Instalment Activity Statements Preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax [FBT] Returns and Year-End Tax Planning [YETP] where required Processing of Periodic Data Preparation of Financial Statements - Account Reconciliations and supporting Schedules Assist with analyzing Financial Statements and report on variances Oversee preparation of Business Activity Statements investigate discrepancies and advise the outcome Preparation of Client Information Request [Email] Liaise with Bookkeepers [External] in relation to the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns Preparation of Client Work - Engagement Control Register [ECR] Assist with Client: WIP Billing Analysis including preparation of Draft: Client Invoices [Bills] and supporting Division: Director Achieve or Exceed WIP Cap Liaise with Office Manager and Managing Director to ensure continual improvement of Office Procedures Assists with the preparation of Firm Marketing Initiatives [including but not limited to] client's News - Articles of Interest for their Clients and Firm Website Other Projects as assigned Qualifications Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field Studying toward Membership in CAANZ or CPA required Minimum Five [5] Years of Experience in Accounting Review and continue interpretation of Tax Legislation Exposure to Tax Planning Concepts including Division 7A in the Income Tax Assessment Act [1936] Intermediate understanding and Interpretation of Trust Rules in the Income Tax Assessment Acts [1936 & 1997] Understanding of generally accepted Accounting Principles Moderate understanding of Tax and Accounting issues Moderate knowledge of Accounting and Tax Exposure to Tax Planning Concepts including Division 7A in the Income Tax Assessment Act [1936] Moderate understanding and Interpretation of Trust in the Income Tax Assessment Acts [1936 & 1997] Assist with Engagement Agreements and Client Onboarding Ability to gather - organize and summarise information efficiently and effectively Ability to adhere to given Budgets and Time Deadlines Support the client in building effective long-term relationships with existing Clients - seeking opportunities to improve Client Care Commitment to the provision of Value-Added Client Service and Technical Expertise - Delivering Timely - Quality Professional Services through a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach Professionalism and Development Client and Team Rapport Proficiency with Software - Microsoft Office - Xero - Internet and other Software Technologies used by the client from time to time Why RecruitGo?
