Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with expertise in analyzing project requirements, developing cost estimates, and ensuring accuracy throughout the bidding process. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in helping our company secure profitable projects and deliver exceptional construction services to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements and scope. Conduct thorough material takeoffs and quantity surveys to determine the materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project phase. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate cost data and pricing information. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor bids, permits, and overhead costs. Utilize estimating software and tools to develop comprehensive cost breakdowns, pricing schedules, and bid proposals. Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project specifications. Coordinate with project teams to clarify project requirements, resolve discrepancies, and refine cost estimates as needed. Present and defend cost estimates during internal review meetings and client presentations. Assist in negotiating and finalizing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Monitor project budgets, expenses, and changes to ensure cost control and profitability. Track industry trends, market prices, and cost factors to inform future estimating practices and strategies. Maintain accurate records of estimating data, project documentation, and bid correspondence. Collaborate with the procurement team to source and qualify new suppliers and subcontractors. Participate in pre-construction meetings, site visits, and project planning sessions as required. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times. Continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating processes, workflows, and accuracy. Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Familiarity with project management principles and practices. Understanding of bid preparation, contract administration, and project cost control. Certification in estimating or related fields is a plus .
