Your responsibilities will encompass managing all aspects of payables and receivables, conducting daily bank reconciliation tasks, administering project costing and reporting, preparing creditor payment batches, generating cash flow reports, and updating asset register spreadsheets. We seek a well-rounded candidate with a proactive mindset, capable of contributing effectively within a close-knit team environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily bank reconciliation tasks, including cash journal entry, direct debit payments, and standing journals. Manage accounts receivable, including debtor follow-up and retention oversight. Administer accounts payable, ensuring valid purchase orders, verifying invoice details, confirming goods receipt, and reconciling supplier statements. Handle project costing and reporting duties. Handle payroll processing. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly creditor payment batches for bank approval. Generate daily cash flow reports, including bank account balances and aging reports for debtors and creditors. Update asset register spreadsheet monthly, reconcile balance sheet accounts, track fuel usage and service history of company vehicles, and ensure compliance with vehicle registration and insurance requirements. Experience & Software Minimum 5 – 6 years Australian accounting experience mandatory, preferably in a medium sized company Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any business-related field. Experience in Xero and ASANA is preferred Experience in MYOB (Mind Your Own Business), QuickBooks Online, Sage Business Cloud Accounting, Reckon or other accounting software. Proficient in daily bank reconciliation tasks, including cash journal entry, direct debit processing, and standing journal management. Skilled in accounts payable management and accounts receivable. Experienced in project costing and reporting Prior expertise in preparing and approving weekly and monthly creditor payment batches. Experience of generating daily cash flow reports, including bank balances and aging reports for debtors and creditors. Skills Proven teamwork capabilities.
