Accounting Manager (Remote) JOB DESCRIPTION: Stayable is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The Remote Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth objectives. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical abilities and excellent leadership skills, who can work effectively in a remote setting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making. Conduct a thorough analysis of financial performance, identifying trends and variances to forecast. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Budgeting and Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets and objectives. Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management on deviations and corrective actions. Prepare accurate forecasts based on market trends, operational data, and other relevant factors. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards. Oversee internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to address any audit findings or recommendations. Cash Flow Management Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives. Optimize working capital and financing arrangements to maximize efficiency and minimize risk. Implement cash management strategies to mitigate financial risks and optimize returns on surplus funds. Risk Management Identify and assess financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the company's financial interests. Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to ensure compliance and mitigate emerging risks. Leadership and Team Management Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities. Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to achieve common financial goals. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Strong understanding of financial principles, including financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights. Proven track record of effectively managing financial processes, controls, and compliance requirements. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve results. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. The ability to work in the US Eastern time zone.
