Job Purpose and Role WRS Health is seeking a talented remote Senior PHP Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development, coding, and maintenance of WRS SAAS EHR/EMR. Working collaboratively within a SCRUM framework, you'll contribute to our innovative development projects while leveraging your expertise in PHP programming.One of WRS Health’s core values is learning so experience in healthcare is not required. Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: In charge of maintaining PHP legacy code-based systems Develop enterprise level PHP application Participate in elaboration sessions with stakeholders and contribute to both design level and code level Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime and enhance user experience. Work in a highly collaborative setting within the SCRUM framework Demonstrate a strong drive to learn and advocate for development best practices (TDD, code reviews, continuous integration, work in small batches, etc.) Document basic technical specifications, system architecture, and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain project documentation Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP software application development, with proficiency in Laravel, Lumen, or Symfony frameworks. Extensive understanding of Object-Oriented and Service-Oriented Application development principles, along with a commitment to employing best practices. Highly desirable to possess knowledge and practical experience in design patterns, Domain Driven Design (DDD), and Test Driven Development (TDD). Demonstrated strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making capabilities. Excellent organizational and communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interaction with colleagues and stakeholders. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is required Previous experience in a technical lead role would be an advantage Hours: Available during standard US business hours, 9AM up to 12PM EST Powered by JazzHR
