Our client is looking for an FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) Analyst to join their Finance team as a remote contractor working 40 hours per week on a US time zone. They will be responsible for providing valuable financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Success in this position involves forecasting financial performance, tracking actual results against budgets, and collaborating with various departments to optimize financial outcomes. The FP&A Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial goals are met and in optimizing financial efficiency. THE ROLE: As an FP&A Analyst, your essential responsibilities and duties include: Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitoring and analyzing financial performance against budget and providing variance analysis. Creating financial models to support long-term financial planning and scenario analysis. Collaborating with department heads to gather budget inputs and financial data. Providing regular financial reports and dashboards to senior management. Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending efficiency improvements. Assisting in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial success. Participating in cross-functional teams to address financial challenges and opportunities. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in FP&A. THE REQUIREMENTS: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis. High proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis. Knowledge of financial principles and accounting standards. Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Preference may be given to candidates with relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) and experience in using financial planning software (NetSuite, or ERP systems). Availability to work during core business hours and occasionally outside regular hours to meet reporting deadlines may be required.
