Senior Network Engineer/ Team Lead Job Description: Your education is important. Your experience is important. But they are not as important as your talent. Responsibilities: Work with Casino clients closely to support the new implementation and maintenance site. Lead a team with 4-6 members. Network Design and Architecture: Developing network design plans and strategies based on business requirements, considering scalability, security, and performance. This includes creating network diagrams, selecting appropriate hardware and software components, and defining network protocols. Network Implementation and Configuration: Installing and configuring network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points. This involves setting up network connections, VLANs, routing protocols, and security measures. Network Troubleshooting and Support: Identifying and resolving network issues, including connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. Conducting root cause analysis, utilizing network monitoring tools, and implementing solutions to optimize network performance. Network Security: Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cybersecurity threats. This includes configuring firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and conducting regular security audits. Network Performance Optimization: Monitoring network performance and implementing strategies to enhance network speed, reliability, and efficiency. This may involve analyzing network traffic patterns, optimizing network protocols, and implementing quality of service (QoS) techniques. Network Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Generating reports on network performance, security incidents, and capacity planning. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior networking engineers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as system administrators, software developers, and IT managers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of network infrastructure. Research and Evaluation: Staying updated with emerging networking technologies and industry trends. Evaluating new network products and solutions, conducting proof-of-concept testing, and recommending technological advancements to enhance network capabilities. Change Management: Planning and executing network changes, upgrades, and migrations with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Following change management processes and coordinating with stakeholders to communicate and implement network changes effectively. Vendor Management: Engaging with network equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors to procure necessary hardware, software, and services. Managing vendor relationships, evaluating proposals, and overseeing service level agreements (SLAs). Requirements: Diploma or bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineer, or relate discipline Over 3 years practical experience with network implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting in real-world scenarios. Solid experience on Huawei switch, firewall, storage will be a plus. Knowledge on following item will be a plus: Veeam, Peplink NLB, Infoblox, VMware, CyberArk, Citrix, Allot, Trend Micro, VMware, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
