Job Title: Accountant (Supervisor) Industry: Accounting- Business Advisory-Consulting Location: Remote Shift and Schedul e: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day Position Overview RecruitGo is in search of an Accountant (Supervisor) who will be working with our client based in Australia . Our client is an accounting and business consulting company. In this role, you will be responsible for the business activities and financial statements. Also, adhere to given budget and time deadlines. Responsibilities: Aims to achieve Workflow Priorities as identified in Division: Workflow Meeting [Weekly] Communicates progress with Individual Workflow and identifies issues with Client Work Completion Preparation of Income Tax returns for all Entity Types - including Individuals Partnerships Trusts and Companies Preparation of Business and Instalment Activity Statements Oversee preparation of Business Activity Statements and investigate discrepancies Preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax Returns where required Processing of Periodic Data Preparation of Financial Statements - Account Reconciliations and supporting Schedules Assist with analyzing Financial Statements and reporting on variances Preparation of Client Information Request [Email] • Liaise with Bookkeepers [External] in relation to the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns Preparation of Client Work - Engagement Control Register [ECR] Support Senior Supervisor and assist with Client: WIP Billing Analysis including preparation of Draft: Client Invoices [Bills] Assists with the preparation of Firm Marketing Initiatives Amenable to be appointed as a nominee officer for the clients for the purpose of company registration, when required Helps and supports the team in maintaining proper documentation All other tasks that may be assigned by the Head of Operation and CRE Team Leader. Qualifications Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related Field Studying toward Membership in CAANZ or CPA required Minimum Three to Five [3-5] Years’ Experience: Accounting Review and commence interpretation of Tax Legislation Exposure to Tax Planning Concepts including Division 7A in the Income Tax Assessment Act [1936] Basic Understanding and Interpretation of Trust Rules in the Income Tax Assessment Acts [1936 & 1997] Understanding of generally accepted Accounting Principles General understanding of Tax and Accounting issues General knowledge of Accounting and Tax Exposure to Tax Planning Concepts including Division 7A in the Income Tax Assessment Act [1936] Basic Understanding and Interpretation of Trust in the Income Tax Assessment Acts [1936 & 1997] Ability to gather - organize and summarise information efficiently and effectively Ability to adhere to given Budgets and Time Deadlines • Commitment to the provision of value-added Client Service and Technical Expertise - Delivering Timely - Quality Professional Services through a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach Professionalism and development of Client and Team Rapport Proficiency with Software - Microsoft Office - Xero - Internet and other Software Technologies Why RecruitGo?
